my sister was here from tuesday to thursday. it was so fun to get to hang out with her and catch up on everything. i was really happy she came to see us. she was great with maria and i learned a few tricks to keep maria occupied, happy and learning. we all went for a walk every morning and gabbed the rest of the day. she bought us 2 cool rocking chairs and a little table to put on the deck outside of our bedroom. we sat and rocked maria almost all of thursday morning (when it wasn't raining!). i was sad to see her leave but i'm looking forward to her next visit! the best news was that while my sister was here, maria slept almost all through the night. it was great!!! i got 6 hours of uninterrupted sleep! that might not sound like much but that is the most sleep i have had in several months. (the last couple of months of pregnancy i was awake half the night because i had to pee and/or had heartburn or my feet were too swollen to let me fall asleep.) here's hoping the sleeping trend continues!
