finally!!!!! we got some sunshine today!!!! chris and maria and i sort of slept in today- instead of having to get up and stay awake after her early morning feeding, we all went back to sleep until about 10am. the extra couple of hours of sleep was nice. i really needed it. just when we though she was going to be sleeping more through the night she woke up around 1am-ish and again around 5am-ish. oh well. those extra hours this morning got me motivated to run some errands this afternoon. chris watched maria while i picked up some baby supplies and got matching $5 old navy july 4th t-shirts. i finally got a cup holder and little storage bag for the stroller. i think these additional items will make our morning walk more enjoyable. now i will have a place to put my coffee and cell phone. i can't tell you how many times i have left my cell phone buried in the sun visor of the stroller and then i spend half the day looking for it because i put there before i had my morning coffee!! the other big, exciting purchase from today is that chris and i have ordered a new sliding door to replace the old, gross, non-functioning sliding door in our bedroom. my sister's gift of rocking chairs for the deck inspired me to take action. we haven't opened the existing sliding door in months because it is stuck shut. we really hate this old door and i'm excited about getting a new one. the old door is so energy inefficient that we might as well just have a big hole in the wall. i'm also looking forward to being able to install the doggie door panel correctly. (that is another reason why we can't get the door open.)
